Company screening is broken.
We built a fix.
Ventur exists to make company screening faster, cleaner, and more defensible before formal due diligence begins. This page explains why we built it, how the product has evolved since 2025, and where automation ends so professional judgement can take over.
The process is slow, fragmented, and offers no structured way to document what you found, what it means, or whether a company warrants formal due diligence. Ventur was built to fix that. Not by replacing professional judgement, but by handling the time-consuming parts automatically, so the judgement gets the attention it deserves.
The problem became obvious.
The same pattern kept appearing across company screening workflows: important checks skipped not from carelessness, but because the manual process was too slow for how decisions actually get made. Research that should happen before formal due diligence was consistently happening after, or not at all.
Alpha v1: Proof that it could work.
The first version could search any UK company and return a structured, source-linked screening profile in minutes: Companies House, news archives, Glassdoor, Trustpilot, and director registers, with risk flags surfaced automatically. Teams replaced hours of analyst research with a single search.
Alpha v2: Structure, confidence, and a human in the loop.
A structured company screening platform and live decision tool, with Assessment Confidence scoring, Financial Health data from statutory filings, horizontal risk intelligence, a rich Evidence Annex linking every finding to its source, and a human analyst layer for independent scrutiny when it matters.
What should be clear about Ventur?
Ventur surfaces what is digitally available and structures it clearly. It does not replace a lawyer, auditor, or qualified adviser. The disclaimer exists for a reason.
Some companies file minimally. Some risks do not appear in public records. Where data is limited, Ventur says so. The Assessment Confidence rating exists precisely for this.
Ventur is designed natively for UK company screening: Companies House filings, UK company law, UK-registered entities. European coverage is in development soon, built to the same standard.
Who is building Ventur?
We are not a large company. We are a focused one. If you want to speak to the people building this, you can. That is the point of the private alpha.
